Virginia has not been immune as COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the country. Overall, Virginia’s cases are not rising at an alarming rate but they are trending in a bad direction. Right now the Commonwealth is seeing a 7-day average of around 1500 new cases per day.
As the numbers rise and likely continue to rise over the holidays when people gather indoors, we want to keep communities informed of the conditions in their communities. Starting today, we will begin publishing updates for individual communities. Like our page on Facebook or check back here to see the updates when they are published.
11/17 Update: Dinwiddie
Dinwiddie County currently has reported 592 total cases of COVID-19 according to the Virginia Department of Health. (VDH) Of those 602 cases, which is an increase of only 10 cases over the last three days. There were no other statistical changes in the County, with only 45 people having been hospitalized and 12 County residents in total have died due to COVID-19 complications.
On Friday, we will provide the three-day changes that took place in Dinwiddie. Check back for details. You can also see the new restrictions that were put in place by Governor Northam on Friday here.
