Shannon Taylor announced her fundraising haul as she seeks the Democratic nomination for attorney general.
Taylor’s campaign says that she raised $525,000 during the first quarter of 2025 and has around $660,000 cash on hand.
This total brings Taylor’s campaign to more than $1 million raised since she launched it.
Taylor is running against former Norfolk Del. Jay Jones for the Democratic nomination. Jones has not released his numbers yet.
At the previous fundraising deadline on Dec. 31, Jones reported having raised $878,035 and had $785,447 cash on hand.
All candidates in Virginia’s state elections are required to report their Q1 numbers to the Department of Elections by April 15.
Attorney General Jason Miyares is the Republican nominee. At the end of 2024, he reported $1,278,143 cash on hand.
Taylor was also recently endorsed by the International Association of Sheet, Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers and SMART Local 100,
