For Election Day next Tuesday, November 3rd, Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) will be providing shuttle transportation for Petersburg residents from their homes, to the polls, beginning at 6 a.m. Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions, these rides may be limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to the shuttle, all fixed-route buses will stop at each Petersburg polling place. The regular fixed routes will run from 5:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. All PAT transportation will continue to be free of charge to patrons and all passengers must wear a mask onboard.
In order to assist residents who may experience long lines, PAT says that they will remain on call until approximately 9:00 p.m. on November 3rd to help residents return home.
For questions on accessing regular bus routes or to request a shuttle ride from their home to the polls, residents should call the PAT customer service hotline at 804-733-2450 or 804-732-2905.
