The Hampton Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in connection with a robbery/carjacking incident that occurred early Thursday morning.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a carjacking that had just occurred in the area of the 2800 block of West Mercury Boulevard. The investigation revealed that the victim, an adult female, was operating as a ride-share operator.

During the ride, a male passenger placed a firearm to the victim and demanded that she get out of the vehicle. The driver stopped the vehicle and the suspects fled in the victim’s 2018 Chevrolet Malibu with Virginia license plates.

The vehicle was last seen southbound on Gumwood Drive.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, early to late ’20s, last seen wearing all dark clothing. Suspect #2 is described as a black female, early to late ’20s, with dark hair and dark clothing.
