As there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel with several highly-effective vaccines becoming available soon, COVID-19 numbers continue to rise with the colder weather arriving to stay.
Here are the updated COVID-19 numbers for Colonial Heights:
Colonial Heights has seen a total of 463 cases this year. There have been 35 hospitalizations and 26 deaths due to COVID-19 complications.
Colonial Heights is currently seeing a seven-day average increase of six new cases per day. The seven-day average of new daily cases among a population of 100,000 in Colonial Heights results in 34.4, which is one point below the statewide average.
Petersburg:
Petersburg has seen a total of 1,183 cases this year. There have been 97 hospitalizations and 31 deaths due to COVID-19 complications.
Peterburg is currently seeing a seven-day average increase of nine new cases per day, however, 31 cases were reported on Monday. The seven-day average of new daily cases among a population of 100,000 in Petersburg results in 27.2, which is eight points below the statewide average.
