As there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel with several highly-effective vaccines becoming available soon, COVID-19 numbers continue to rise with the colder weather arriving to stay.

Here are the updated COVID-19 numbers for Petersburg:

Petersburg has seen a total of 1,130 cases. There has been 95 hospitalizations and 31 deaths due to COVID-19 complications.

Petersburg is currently seeing a seven-day average increase of seven new cases per day. The seven-day average of new daily cases among a population of 100,000 in Petersburg results in 23.1, which is a few points below the statewide average.
