Post Office is hiring in Richmond area and COVID numbers are on the rise in Roanoke

RICHMOND, VA – The United States Postal Service will be accepting applications for holiday positions. All applicants must apply online as applications are not available at local Post Offices.

1. Holiday Clerk Assistance (HCA) – $18.15 per hour
2. City Carrier Assistant (CCA) – $17.29 per hour
3. Holiday Transportation Assistance MVO – $19.24 per hour
4. Mail Handler Assistant (MHA) – $16.65 per hour
5. PSE Mail Processing Assistant (MPC) – $18.15 per hour

Roanoke COVID numbers rising

According to officials from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths are on the rise in the Roanoke area.  Dr. Molly O’Dell from VDH said that there are 10 outbreaks in business settings across the district.

“We have detected business practices for both screening and socially distancing and adherence to face-covering use has sagged significantly,” explained O’Dell.
