COVID-19 school update:

Petersburg City Public Schools announced on Monday morning that one of their employees has tested positive for COVID-19.

“A staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was only at Petersburg High School and the Central Office on the day of contact, October 6th,” said PCPS in a message to families.

Officials are saying that they are working to try and contact all of the individuals necessary.

“We are working with the Petersburg Health Department and Crater Health District to inform the necessary individuals and to continue our mitigation efforts. Letters and/or phone calls are going out today to the appropriate staff members.”

Petersburg schools have been operating fully virtual for students during the 2020-2021 school year.

We will update you if we receive anymore information.
